Emre pens 4 year Fenerbahce deal

For what seemed to be the most surprising transfer thus far in the Turkish League, Turkey's midfield maestro has penned a deal that will see him at the Yellow Canaries for 4 seasons.

Fenerbahce's new number 5 is poised and ready to go for the new season, and has declared his excitement in joining the club:

"First and foremost, I would like to thank Aziz Yildirim, Ali Yildirim, Neset Yalcin, Murat Ozaydinli and the rest of the Fenerbahce board for showing great interest in me. Their attention to all my requests and needs for the transfer have been met with open arms, and for that, I'm grateful. I'm going to work hard to serve Fenerbahce as best I can. In Europe, I did my best to represent Turkish football, and for 7 years I believe I did that. I'm very happy to be here today, and I hope to play a big part in the clubs successes for years to come."

Emre's transfer marks the 3rd transfer done by Fenerbahce's football club this season, joining Burak Yilmaz from Manisaspor and Spanish goal king Daniel Guiza.

In an interview with FBTV earlier this week, Fenerbahce boss Luis Aragones hinted at the club transferring another midfielder to strengthen the squad. Rumoured players include: David Albelda, Marcos Senna, and Xabi Alonso.

We at anglofeb.com would like to wish Emre an injury-free, successful 4 year stint with the club. We truly do believe that this is a transfer with some enormous potential, and forsee great things to come from Fenerbahce's new #5.
