 Luis Aragones had a guided tour of Sukru Saracoglu Stadium this morning and was extremely impressed with what he saw.
The freshly appointed Fenerbahce coach was up bright and early to visit his latest place of work and meet with his new employers. Aragones was joined by his assistants Carlos Carcallano and Cesar Mediondo in a 3 hour tour of Sukru Saracoglu Stadium which involved the traditional trip to the museum and a meeting with President Aziz Yildirim. The Euro 2008 winner, who has seen a fair few grounds in his time, was full of praises saying, “The stadium architecture is perfect with plenty of thought going in to design, facilities and acoustics.” Despite complimenting the audio capacity the experienced manager was quick to point out that he will not allow the atmosphere to affect his focus during matches as he reaffirmed, “We will challenge for all major honours.”
The Fenerbahce coach confirmed he will be attending today's evening training session to meet up with the players.
Meanwhile, Aragones’ media press conference has been put forward a day to 5 July at 11.00 local time.
