Mehmet Aurelio's Fenerbahce exit is on hold after failing to agree terms with Real Betis. Kerim Zengin on the other hand will definately not be wearing yellow and navy next season.
As reported on anglofeb earlier in the week the La Liga side was confident of signing Aurelio, although there was a snag due to the Turkey international's salary demands. It would appear the industrious midfielder refused to compromise on pay causing the deal to fall through despite his desire to play in Spain. English Premier League side Everton have emerged as the favourites to land the 30-year-old as the Toffee Men are prepared to match his pay demands. Meanwhile, Kerim Zengin’s loan spell at Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyespor has been extended for 1 more year. The 23 year old right sided player spent the whole of last season with Abdullah Avci’s men and seems to have impressed them enough for another term at the club.
