Fenerbahce pre-season training continues in Istanbul
The football squad continues their pre-season preparations with a single training session that lasted approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes today. To the pleasure of many, fans and staff, Roberto Carlos is back training with the squad since his unfortunate heavy injury during the Champions League clash against Sevilla.
The training session was headed by coach Onder Ozen, which involved various warm-up rounds, coordination excersizes, and 4 v 4 drills. The training session concluded with an inter-squad scrimmage match.
Roberto Carlos was fit enough to take part in the entire training session, whilst Gokcek Vederson and Yasin Cakmak seperated from the rest of the squad into the weight room to continue rehabilitation on their ongoing injuries. Claudio Maldonado has begun light training by running laps the entire session. Gokhan Gonul's flight from Germany was delayed and wasn't able to attend today's practice, but will be ready to go tomorrow as he, as well, has recovered fully from his injury from last season.
Director Volkan Balli announced to the squad today that newly appointed manager Luis Aragones will be flying into Istanbul tomorrow night.
Pre-season preparations will continue tomorrow at 10.00, followed by another session at 18.00.
