The domestic football season is over so all attention in Turkish football has turned to the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland.
Turkey national team coach Fatih Terim yesterday named his initial 26 man squad inclusive of 7 Fenerbahce players.
Here is Terim's shortlist:
Rüstü Recber (Besiktas)
Some of the above names have already raised eyebrows such as Trabzonspor substitute Goalkeeper Tolga Zengin being preferred to Serdar Kulbilge or Aykut Ercetin. Other noticeable absentees include popular names such as Mehmet Topuz, Gokhan Unal, Nuri Sahin and Umit Karan.
We want to know your thoughts on this 26 man squad. You can air your views by either writing a comment at the bottom of this article or posting in the relevant forum thread by clicking on this link.
Is this squad good enough to go far in the competition or will it leave us dissapointed?
