The Central Refereeing Committee (MHK) is planning to host a series of training seminars aimed to better prepare Turkish referees for the 2008-2009 Turkcell Super Lig season.

The MHK has invited retired top level European officials to make speeches and share their own personal experiences with Turkish referees.  It is hoped this fresh approach will help develop the domestic men-in-black as many of the guess speakers will already be role models to them.

Among those attending will be the most popular referee of them all, Pierluigi Collina along with other top former FIFA badged officials such as Markus Merk, Urs Maier and Michel Voutro.

The MHK has been under constant pressure by the clubs to improve the standard of Turkish referees who have been subject of much criticism in recent years.  Many agree that this seminar will be useful but are expecting more from the organisation.
