anglofeb.com has just learned that Brazilian legend and Fenerbahce manager Arthur Zico has agreed to terms for a 2 year extension on his contract keeping him on the club until 2010.

The details of the contract aren't yet public, but we understand that his agent will be in Turkey on Sunday to finalize and approve the remaining steps to keep the sympathetic manager at the helm.

 

The deal is expected to be announced next week.

 

Zico has played an important role in the historic Champions League run this season, and has gained the upmost respect from his players and the Fenerbahce fans alike. His merit based system has proved instrumental to the clubs success and has helped build a solid foundation for years to come under his guidance.
