Onder Turaci has agreed to join FC Moscow of Russia on a free transfer at the end of the season.  This move makes him the 5th Turkish player leaving Turkcell Super Lig for the Russian Rosgosstrakh.

The Fenerbahce player is reported to have agreed a 4 year deal worth €6M Euros which is estimated to be double what he was earning in Istanbul.  The 26 year old moved to the Yellow Canaries from Standard Liege in 2004 after impressing in the Jupiler League.

The Belgian born defender has 12 caps for Belgium U21’s but has also played for the Turkey senior team.  However, an administrative error prevented him from continuing his international career with his parents' birth nation.  He has snubbed several approaches from the Belgium FA to play for their senior side in hope that FIFA may grant him permission to play for Turkey.

Onder had been a first team regular in his first 3 seasons at Fenerbahce playing either at Centre Back or Full Back.  He started this season as the first choice Right Back but lost his place to arguably the find of the year, Gokhan Gonul.  He has been left frustrated on the bench and decided that it was time to move on and earn more money in the process.

anglofeb.com would like to thank Onder Turaci for his service at the club and wish him every success in his future career.

avatar Yes this seems to be a trend amongst the Russian clubs now to buy Turkish
players. Hopefully Onder adds to his game rather than wither away on the bench.

avatar Onder apparently rejected a contract offer from Fenerbahce of 0,000 per year
+ ,000 appearance fee.

Looks like he's set on going.
