Fenerbahce surrendered top spot to arch rivals Galatasaray after losing 1-0 at Ali Sami Yen last week.  Having won the first meeting 2-0, the Yellow Canaries hold the better head-to-head aggregate result so if all points are equal at the end of the season, the championship trophy shall remain in Kadikoy.  For this to happen, Fenerbahce must gain 3 points on their title rivals in the 2 remaining games.

Galatasaray play away at Sivasspor and it is widely accepted that this match is the one they may drop points.  The Yigidos have been preparing relentlessly all week whereas Cim Bom Bom have squeezed in premature championship celebrations into their build up.  Sivasspor lost the first meeting 2-0 and will need to win by 3 goals to leapfrog their opponents.

After Gokcek Vederson's unfortunate training ground injury Colin-Kazim Richards will remain on the right wing with Deivid de Souza playing at left wing.  Ugur Boral will be drafted in at left back for a third consecutive game.  Mateja Kezman is expected to keep his place ahead of Semih Senturk and Selcuk Sahin may replace Claudio Maldonado.  Goalkeeper Volkan Demirel will have a late fitness test.

Genclerbirligi need a point to mathematically secure their Turkcell Super Lig status next season.

The last meeting between the sides ended with a 2-1 Yellow Canaries’ victory.
