A familiar face turned up at Samandira on Saturday afternoon.
Tumer Metin unexpectedly visited the training facilities giving his former teammates a morale boost ahead of Sunday’s showdown with Galatasaray. The player who left Fenerbahce to go on loan with Greek side Larissa in the winter transfer window flew back after ending the season. Larissa ended the league in 6th position narrowly missing out on the play-offs by goal average. Speaking of his 10 week experience the midfielder said, “Life in Greece is no different than life in Turkey, even the traffic and the food is the same.” Tumer watched the first part of the training session before Zico asked if he would like to join in. The Turkey international jumped at the chance taking part in the 5 on 2 ball winning exercise before playing in the practice match too. When asked for his derby prediction Tumer said, “Fenerbahce will win 1-0 and Semih will be the scorer.”
