 Fenerbahce full back Gokhan Gonul was profiled on the official Euro 2008 website in a very positive article highlighting his rise to international stardom this season.
The feature comments on Gokhan capturing the public eye after joining Fenerbahce and replacing first choice right back Onder Turaci by possessing attacking abilities to match his defensive skills. There is reference to Zico likening the €1.4M transfer from Genclerbirligi OFTASspor attributes to that of Brazil legend Cafu, whilst Gokhan Emreciksin of Ankaragucu argues that the 23 year old is, “a complete player”.
