 Roberto Carlos has received permission from club officials for a trip to his native Brazil. The superstar full back will return weekend after next.
The club has not announced whether the 35 year old’s surprise voyage is related to his ongoing injury problems, but it means he will miss the home game with Denizlispor on Saturday and possibly the title crunch match against rivals Galatasaray the following week. Meanwhile Real Madrid fans have conducted an online poll researching the best players ever to play for the Spanish club. Roberto Carlos was voted 4th behind Di Stefano, Zinedine Zidane and Raul Gonzalez. Not a bad feat by any stretch of the imagination.
