FB v KSFenerbahçe host Kayserispor on Saturday 5 April for match 29 of the season.  The game kicks off at 19:00 local time (GMT+2) and anglofeb.com users can follow the live action play-by-play on Match Tracker.

 

Fenerbahçe head the Turkcell Super Lig by 2 points and will be looking to preserve their leader status before heading to Stamford Bridge for the Second Leg of the Champions League quarter final tie with Chelsea.          

 

Roberto Carlos will once again undergo a late fitness test as Zico is keen for the Brazilian Left Back to get 90 minutes under his belt ahead of the Chelsea game.  Deivid de Souza returns from suspension and Gokhan Gonul should regain his place at Right Back for the final dress rehearsal before Tuesday night. 

 

Kayserispor sit comfortably in 5th place 9 points ahead of 6th Denizlispor but 10 behind 4th placed Besiktas.  The yellow and red side began the second half of the season with 6 straight wins but have lost their way a bit in recent weeks managing just 1 win in 5 and losing their last two. 

 

Former Fenerbahce transfer targets Gokhan Unal and Mehmet Topuz remain Kayserispor’s most potent threat.  Their leading scorer Gokhan has found the net 11 times whilst Captain Mehmet follows him in second place with 7 strikes. 

 

If the Fenerbahce players have their mind on Tuesday and are not fully focused on this match, Kayserispor is more than equipped to punish them.   

 

The last meeting between the sides ended with a 2-1 Kayserispor victory at Kayseri Ataturk stadium after Edu was controversially sent off on 27 minutes whilst Fenerbahce were leading 1-0.
