The Yellow Canaries lead 2-1 from the first leg and know they are 90 minutes away from making history yet again this season.  Deivid had the misfortune of scoring in his own net to give Chelsea the lead but made amends by scoring a 35 yard screamer to give his team the lead after Colin-Kazim Richards had equalized earlier.

 

Fenerbahce will welcome full backs Gokhan Gonul and Roberto Carlos back into their line up for the second leg, whilst Chelsea will still be without Petr Cech again who picked up another injury in training.  

Speaking in his pre-match interview Zico was more cautious in his approach and only committed to saying that his side will give it their all tomorrow evening and refrained from making victory pledges unlike his overly confident opposite number.  In contrast Avram Grant promised the Chelsea fans a different team than the one that lost last week and pretty much assured them of a safe passage into the semi-finals.
