Fenerbahçe lead the Turkcell Super Lig and are 2 points above 4^th placed Besiktas.  The Black Eagles will be hoping to leapfrog the leaders and regain top spot whereas the Yellow Canaries will look to widen the gap further.         

Roberto Carlos will undergo a last minute fitness test but long-term absentee Deniz Baris will miss out despite returning to full training. 

Deivid de Souza is suspended so Claudio Maldonado should be named in the in the first eleven.  Meanwhile, goalkeeper Volkan Demirel is available after serving out his 4 match suspension.

Zico gave signs after the 3-0 Kasimpasaspor victory that Semih Senturk may start in this one.  However, the message coming out of this week’s preparations is that the Fenerbahce coach is likely to stick with Alex and Kezman in the classic 4-4-1-1 line up.     

The Besiktas players have been promised a nice bonus should they win all three points but they will have to do it without Bobo (suspended), former Fenerbahce goalkeeper Rustu (injured) and ex-West Ham player Cisse (injured).

The last meeting between the sides ended with a 2-1 Canaries’ victory at Sukru Saracoglu stadium.
