The Bundesliga side are planning a summer clearout with 5 players expected to leave according to reports from German weekly magazine, Sport Bild.  Halil Altintop is speculated to be one of these names despite having a contract which runs until 2010. 

Schalke manager Mirko Slomka does not appear to be a huge fan of the Turkey striker as he has not given him many opportunities this season.   

Previous reports from Germany claimed that Altintop was unhappy with this situation and has started contemplating whether or not he should hand in a transfer request at the end of the season. 

On the back of Sport Bild’s report media sources on Turkey have already began linking Halil Altintop with a move to Fenerbahce at the end of the season.
